1. Prepare four columns
You need SKU, product name, selling price and stock. Column headings may differ: map them to the four fields in the tool. Deliberately select the number format used in your source file, such as 1,234.56 or 1.234,56. Changing the interface language does not change this format.
2. Review errors and duplicate SKUs
Missing required values, negative or invalid numbers and inconsistent column counts are flagged. Every row with a duplicate SKU is excluded; letter case does not distinguish products. A SKU such as 00042 is preserved. Matching product names alone do not count as duplicates.
3. Compare price changes
A previous list is optional. It needs the same column names, field mapping and number format. Price changes of 20% or more are flagged. An invalid comparison file must be corrected or removed. Purchase prices are not converted into selling prices.
4. Export new product drafts
Confirm your review and, when needed, the exclusion of invalid records. The export contains Type=simple and Published=-1. It is intended for new, simple products. Do not use it to update existing products. Variations, images, categories and taxes are not calculated or added.
Where do my files go?
Validation happens in your browser. The application neither uploads CSV files nor stores them persistently. You save exports and validation reports yourself through downloads. Only your language preference is stored in local browser storage. Closing the page discards the working session. Loading the website makes the usual connections to its web server.
Limits and your first store import
Up to 2 MB, 5,000 data rows and 100 source columns. UTF-8 or Windows-1252; semicolon, comma or tab delimiters. Prices have up to two decimal places and stock must be a non-negative integer. Test a small import in a staging environment and check that prices match your store’s tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive settings.
